Esperanza Resort's New Culinary Experiences

CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO — Esperanza, An Auberge Resort, has debuted new culinary experiences reflecting the best of coastal Baja cuisine, including a new at-sea experience, it was announced this month.

Esperanza’s new floating lounge offers an event and entertainment space on the ocean for gatherings of up to 25 people complete with a DJ, private butler service and a dedicated cocktail and appetizer menu. Also included are watersport activities such as stand-up paddle boarding, parasailing, wave runners and snorkeling.

The resort’s new Culinary Corner, located at the poolside Mexican restaurant La Palapa, offers a lineup of ongoing themed dining nights. Culinary themes include Baja Pasta Night, with fresh pastas combined with local seafood; Mexicanismo, highlighting foods from Mexico’s regions; and Burger Day, serving guests’ choice of Black Angus, yellowfin tun and vegan lentil-quinoa burger. Rounding out the themed nights are Wok & Roll, wok-cooked organic food prepared fajita-style, along with sushi station; and Grill Out!, offering steaks, chili-rubbed brochette or local fresh.

The resort also offers guests the opportunity to discover the best local spirits through its beverage program that includes new craft beer tastings and vintner’s dinners. For guests renting poolside cabanas, Esperanza offers a dedicated margarita butler demonstrating how to make cocktails choosing from six flavours, including tamarind-lime ‘mezcalita’ and ginger grapefruit. Additional poolside amenities include sunscreen, Evian mist spray and fresh towels, along with crudites.

Also offered are Baja craft beer tastings, led by Esperanza’s tequila and beer at Pesca Ceviche Bar. The experience pairs four artisanal beers from Mexico with an appetizer.

Esperanza is a 57-room room resort with 60  privately owned villas, 36 private residences, a full-service space and several dining outlets. Recently, the property unveiled a comprehensive renovation that featured transformed guestrooms, a revitalized Cocina del Mar restaurant and Lounge Bar, new Pesca ceviche bar, enhanced pool and terrace with new lounge spaces and cabanas and refreshed spa and public spaces.
