Fairmont has announced a number of new appointments, including Genevieve Dumas, to the role of general manager, Fairmont Le Château Montebello; Norm Mastalir, named managing director, The Fairmont Chateau Whistler; and Sarah Dayboll, who has been appointed director, environmental affairs, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.
Dumas joined Fairmont in 1996, at Fairmont Tremblant, and has since held progressive positions, including food and beverage manager, executive housekeeper and sales manager. She rejoins the company from her most recent position as general manager, Marriott Residence Inn & Hilton Homewood Suites, Mont Tremblant.
Mastalir started his career over 30 years ago with Fairmont and arrives in Western Canada
from his most recent position as managing director, The Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda.
Dayboll has been instrumental in advancing Fairmont’s green agenda and most recently oversaw the company’s commitment to reduce its carbon emissions under the World Wildlife Fund’s Climate Savers Program. In her expanded role, she will continue to seek out new ways in which to green Fairmont’s operations proactively.
