Fairmont Hotels & Resorts will offer Lifestyle Cuisine Plus, a new menu available upon request, catering to group attendees’ diet-dependent conditions and dietary preferences, beginning Jan. 1, 2011.

Equipped with recipe-analysis software, Fairmont chefs are trained to prepare meals catering to dietary conditions and allergies such as diabetes, heart disease and celiac disease (gluten intolerance) and dietary preferences such as raw and vegan diets.

Meeting and event planners, for instance, who want to create a 600-calorie breakfast or a three-course, 1,000-calorie dinner can work directly with Fairmont chefs to design their menus.

Not only available for banqueting, these items are also being offered in restaurants, bars and in-room dining menus across the brand.

Those concerned with specific food allergies and sensitivities are invited to speak with the chef to plan their food options during their stay.

Lifestyle Cuisine Plus includes dishes such as Cornish crab cake and marinated cucumber and grapefruit salad; free-range chicken with quinoa; and chocolate ganache flan.
