Fairmont Makes Appointments at Algonquin & Chateau Frontenac

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has made appointments at Le Chateau Frontenac, in Quebec City, and the Algonquin, in St. Andrews by-the-Sea, N.B.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has named Christopher Spear director, sales and marketing, at Le Château Frontenac, in Quebec City; appointed Jean-Francois Fortin executive chef at The Fairmont Algonquin, in St. Andrews by-the-Sea, N.B., and promoted Ryan Dunne to director, food and beverage, at the Algonquin property.

Spears brings with him over 18 years of hospitality experience and joins the Chateau Frontenac from Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, in Montreal, where he was director, sales.

Beginning his career in 1998 as first cook at Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, Fortin has honed his culinary craft in a number of luxury hotel kitchens.

Most recently, Dunne was executive chef at the Algonquin.
