Four Seasons Vancouver Names New Event Manager

Tourism and event professional Emily Edwards has joined the Four Seasons Vancouver’s team in the role of event sales manager. Edwards will be focusing on the hotel’s recent partnership with Rocky Mountaineer.

Emily Edwards, Four Seasons VancouverEdwards has an extensive background in tourism, marketing and event planning and experience in brand development, international sales, program design and logistics. In addition to her degree in tourism marketing from British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), she is a Certified Meeting Planner and Destination Management Certified Professional.

“We are thrilled to add Emily to our roster of talented salespeople,” says director of marketing, Kostas Christopolous. “She is an absolute power house with a level of skill and experience that is hard to match.”

Edwards’ CV includes:

  • 22 years as founder, owner and president of Destination Planners
  • director of Ovation Canada; director of Operations at Cantrav
  • director of the board for Tourism Vancouver
  • director of the board for HSBC Celebration of Light
  • director of the board for ADMEI

Currently, she is a  member of numerous organizations such as The Society of Incentive Travel Executives, Meeting Planners International, Financial and Insurance Conference Planners, Association of Destination Management Executives International and Tourism Vancouver. Her hard work and commitment to the field have also earned her the title of “Planner of the Year” from Meeting Planners International, along with a number of other awards for event planning and achievement from various organizations.
