Freeman has announced that Sonia Moffatt has been named general manager of its Toronto branch, effective July 1, 2015.
Moffatt will be responsible for overseeing the successful operation of all branch departments including warehouse and show-site operations, customer service, sales and administration. She will report to Freeman’s senior vice-president in Canada, Barbara Baird.
“Sonia has been a valuable asset to Freeman for many years and her ongoing success is built upon a consistent track record of commitment, achievements and strong
customer relationships,” said Baird. “She has proven her ability and desire to support Freeman in reaching its business objectives and is an integral part of our success. I am thrilled to promote Sonia to this key position.”
Moffatt has more than 25 years of experience in the trade show industry, starting her career in 1989 at Design Craft, a company that was purchased by Freeman in 1995. In addition to receiving several promotions during her tenure, she was presented with the Canadian Association of Exposition Management’s (CAEM) 2009 Associate Member of the Year Award and inducted into CAEM’s Hall of Fame in 2011.
Sonia is graduate of Queens University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada) with B.A. (Honours) and a B.Ed.
