Genesis Group of Companies has bought four Toronto-area Marriott hotels, three in Toronto and one in Hamilton, Ont.
All hotels purchased by the Brandon, Man.-based company are under the Marriott franchise – two Courtyard by Marriott properties and two extended-stay Residence Inns by Marriott.
The properties include the 94-room Courtyard by Marriott Mississauga Airport Corporate Centre West; Courtyard by Marriott Hamilton (113 guestrooms and 23 suites); Residence Inn by Marriott Mississauga Airport Corporate Centre West (133 extended-stay suites) and Residence Inn By Marriott Toronto Vaughan (132 extended-stay suites).
“We are extremely confident in the Marriott brands and believe they will continue to outpace the Southern Ontario hotel market,” says Kevin Swark, executive president of Genesis.
Genesis owns and operates 10 hotels in Winnipeg, Brandon and Flin Flon, Man., and Thunder Bay, Owen Sound, Mississauga, Vaughan and Hamilton, Ont.
