Hilton Opens Garden Inn in Hawaii

HONOLULU, HAWAII and MCLEAN, VA — Hilton Worldwide has opened Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach, its second property in Hawaii and the brand’s first property in the Waikiki area of Honolulu, it was announced June 21.

The 623-room Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach recently underwent a $115 million redevelopment. The refurbished property now features a living room-style lobby with communal seating and Hawaiian design — high wooden ceilings bordered by gallery-lit Hawaiian kapa prints on reclaimed wood and a palette that reflects the island’s beauty through natural materials, finishes and textures.

All guestrooms, including one- and two-bedroom suites, offer the brand’s signature bedding, along with 48-inch HDTV and an in-room hospitality centre with microwave, mini-refrigerator and Keurig coffee/tea maker. Most rooms will include a walk-out lanai with seating. All suites and most rooms offer partial ocean or city views.

The property offers spacious public areas, a newly designed rooftop pool area with poolside bar and separate cardio and strength training fitness centres. Holoholo Cafe & Market sells grab-and-go food that includes local favourites, a wine and beer bar, espresso cafe bar, desserts, Hawaiian souvenirs and sundries.

An onsite meeting room with naturally lit meeting space hosts up to 30. In addition, the hotel offers complimentary WiFi throughout and a 24-hour business centre.

The hotel is two blocks from Waikiki Beach, across the street from the revitalized International Market Place and 25 minutes from Honolulu International Airport. It is also within walking distance from shopping, dining and attractions such as Honolulu Zoo and  Ala Wai Golf Course.

The Hilton Garden Inn operates more than 675 hotels around the world. Hilton HHonors members who book directly through preferred channels have access to benefits, including free standard WiFi as well as digital amenities that are available through the Hilton HHonors app, where HHonors members can check-in, choose their room and access their room using a digital key.
