The new Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown underwent a $20-million renovation as part of the company's extensive re-branding efforts.
InterContinental Hotels Group has opened its largest Holiday Inn property in downtown Toronto.
The Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre features 513 rooms over 23 floors and 9,000 sq. ft. of modern, multi-functional event space.
The grand opening marks the completion of the hotel’s $20-million renovation project. The existing building was gutted and completely redesigned by architect Ava Janikowski of Chase International Consultants in Design.
Dining options have been revamped as well. Executive chef Chris Moreland, formerly of White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa, serves up exotic dishes made from local ingredients at The Carlton, while the modern and relaxed environment at Thirty Bar & Lounge is ideal for cocktails and tapas.
Amenities include a fitness centre, large indoor pool and soon-to-be licensed outdoor patio that accommodates 150.
The Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre highlights the brand’s renewed focus on quality, improved arrival and welcome features, enhanced bedding and showers, a “Stay Real” service culture and an updated look, which includes a redesigned logo and signage.
