Horseshoe Resort plans to open an adventure park July 1 that will bring ziplining and other group-friendly activities to the Barrie, Ont., area.

Located in the Copeland Forest on Horseshoe Resort’s grounds, the 11-acre park will feature Southern Ontario’s longest zipline and Canada’s only fully operational zorbing park, in which participants roll downhill inside a giant, transparent-plastic orb.

Also featured at the park will be summer tubing; climbing wall; mountain bike park; mini golf and skateboard park, as well as Canada’s only Zip Flyer ride.

On the meetings and events side, there are no buyout opportunities for 2010, but the park will offer discounted admission for overnight and day-visit groups.

These packages include unlimited access to all the adventure park attractions and can be bundled with a food and beverage option.
