Hyatt Regency Vancouver has struck a deal with Bullfrog Power whereby all the hotel’s meeting rooms are now run with wind power from B.C. renewable-energy project Bear Mountain.

The Vancouver Hyatt joins its sister property, the Hyatt Regency Calgary, which began bullfrogpowering its meeting space, gym and pool area in September, 2008.

Providing green power for Hyatt Regency Vancouver’s facilities will not require any special equipment or wiring. Bullfrog Power will ensure that clean, emissions-free EcoLogo-certified electricity is injected onto the B.C. electricity grid to match the amount of power used in the hotel’s meeting spaces.

The 644-room Vancouver hotel features award-winning Mosaic Bar & Grille and 45,000 sq. ft. of function space, including the Regency Ballroom.

Guestrooms, all completely renovated, now feature LCD TVs and gentle-rain showers.
