The Board of Directors of the International Association of Conference Centers of The Americas has elected new officers, one of whom is Canadian.
Leslie Vanderzwet, general manager, conferences at The Banff Centre in Alberta was elected Treasurer. Since joining IACC in 1999, Leslie has been active on the Annual Conference Planning Committee for eight years, participating in production, marketing, and food and beverage. She also served as co-chair of the sustainability task force, which introduced the code of sustainability and was chair and director of the marketing committee.
Other appointments include Pete Stockmann, CEO of 3P Business Solutions in Bloomfield Hills, MI was elected president; T.J. Fimmano, general manager at Dolce Hotels and Resorts in Ossining, NY was elected first vice-president; Steve Sackman, regional director of sales and marketing for Destination Hotel & Resorts at Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center in Tarrytown, NY, was elected second vice-president; and Sean Anderson, vice-president, operations for Sodexo Conferencing was elected Secretary.
The new officers will serve a two-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2011.
