Location

Grouse Mountain is located a short 15-minute drive from downtown Vancouver. There is ample parking available which accommodates personal vehicles and large buses alike. It is also easily accessible via public transit which offers regular service to and from the base of Grouse Mountain every half hour.

Sample West Coast cuisine while overlooking the grandeur of the Lower Mainland, some 3,700 feet below. From fine dining in the award-winning Observatory restaurant, to a leisurely meal on our Altitudes Bistro deck, Grouse Mountain features a number of unique options for any palate. With a full kitchen and on-site Executive Chef, Grouse Mountain offers an array of catered food options from breakfast to stand-up hors d'oeuvres receptions to multi-course plated dinners.

Recreation

A day in Grouse Mountain’s stunning alpine environment provides access to an array of activities, experiences and adventures. Summertime on Grouse Mountain is a great time for hiking, catching our World Famous Lumberjack Show, visiting our two resident Grizzly bears in their wildlife refuge, or watching our Birds in Motion Demonstration to name a few. Winter on Grouse Mountain includes great skiing and riding, snowshoeing and ice skating, as well as access to our signature event: The Peak of Christmas, which kicks off on the last Friday in November and runs into the New Year. Activities such as our thrilling Mountain Ziplines Tours or visits to the iconic Eye of the Wind turbine may be enjoyed year round. Professional facilitated group activities designed to make a lasting impact are also available as full day, half day and convenient two-hour add-ons to a meeting or meal reservation. Whether you're looking for a team celebration, integrating new people, enjoying a company anniversary or even looking for a more unique Christmas party, there is a program to suit.

From sophisticated entertainment to unspoiled nature, Grouse Mountain is the pre-eminent all-in-one, four-season mountain resort with a little something for everyone. The mountaintop Chalet, accessible via the Skyride, hosts a number of different dining venues, meeting spaces, gift shops, viewpoints, and our large high-definition screen in the Theatre in the Sky. Just a short walk from the Chalet is our two-hectare (five-acre) mountaintop habitat that is home to two orphaned grizzly bears, Grinder and Coola. You will also find our World Famous Lumber Jack Show and Birds in Motion Demonstration in the same vicinity during the summer months. Just a 15 minute scenic chairlift ride from here is our Eye of the Wind turbine.The Eye of the Wind is a large wind turbine—the first in the world to have an elevator accessing a viewPOD™ observation area suspended directly below the hub of the massive 38-metre (125-foot) long blades, 20 storeys up, with 360 degree views. Year round, fly on our 5-line, dual-line Mountain Ziplines circuit where you can reach speeds up to 80km/hr. During the winter months you will find our 8,000 square foot ice skating pond, Snowshoe trails, Light Walk and some of the best skiing and riding with sweeping views of the city below.
