Living Water Resort Owner Receives Hospitality Award


Larry Law, president and CEO of Living Water Resort & Spa in Collingwood,ON, has received a 2016 Industry Recognition Award for longstanding contributions to the hospitality industry from the Simcoe County division of the Ontario Restaurant Hotel & Motel Association (ORHMA).

Law received the award at the annual ORHMA Simcoe Hospitality Awards event. Collingwood mayor Sandra Cooper was on hand to present the award to Warren Smith on behalf of Law, who was on his yearly missionary trip to Kenya.

“I am truly humbled and honoured to receive this respected industry recognition and would like to share it with the dedicated staff,” said Law. “I thank all of them for all they do—we are passionate about Collingwood, the hospitality industry and about caring for people. Our successful unique business model is to take business as a mission, a mission to serve with a loving heart.”

The award is given annually to an organization or an individual who has made a longstanding contribution to the restaurant or accommodations industry; is a leader in positioning and supporting the region’s hospitality and tourism industry in the national and/or international arena; and is employed by a restaurant or hotel currently operating in the region or is an independent owner/operator.

Law was honoured for creating and building a community of more than 450 staff as well as growing the Cranberry Village brand from an existing inn into an entire village made up of multiple types of accommodations including hotel, vacation membership, homes, multiple restaurants, a championship golf course, marina, a wedding and conference centre and a one-of-a-kind spa.

  • additions to the 5,000-square-foot on-site spa with an exclusive Aquapath™, for wellness experiences and re-energizing retreats
  • a new 5,000-square-foot waterfront restaurant offering culinary classes, raw seafood bar and more

Living Water is located in Simcoe County at the southern tip of Lake Huron’s Georgian Bay. It has a five-star rating from Interval International.
