Loews Regency Hotel in New York will reopen in mid-January following a $100 million renovation. The redesign of the 379-room, flagship hotel includes a new restaurant, state-of-the-art salon and spa, and four new private meeting spaces.
The new meeting spaces are located on the second floor of the hotel. They encompass 1,900 sq. ft. and can accommodate six to 20 people. Easily accessed from the hotel’s business center, the rooms all have natural light, high-speed Internet and the latest in audio-visual technology. The large room is 525 sq. ft. An on-site meetings and event specialist is available to assist in planning.
Located on Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, the hotel is close to Central Park, Madison Avenue and the city’s Museum Mile. It opened in 1963 and won renown for service and hospitality and as the home of the “Power Breakfast,” a concept it formally introduced in 1975. Its new restaurant, managed by the Sant Ambroeus Hospitality Group along with executive chef Dan Silverman, is looking to regain that title and once again become a New York dining destination with menus that emphasis modern takes on classic dishes and market-fresh ingredients.
The renovation also includes the debut of a 10,000-sq.-ft. beauty flagship by celebrity hairstylist Julien Farel. It includes:
- Julien Farel Salon featuring 30 custom-designed stations and private rooms for VIP clients
- Julien Farel Anti-Aging Spa
- JF Men, a space dedicated to meeting men’s grooming needs, conveniently located adjacent to the Regency Power Breakfast
- 1,700-sq.-ft., 24-hour fitness facility
