Following a three-year, $100-million transformation and expansion, The Jalousie Plantation, on the Eastern Caribbean island of St. Lucia, has also been rebranded.
Managed by the Viceroy Hotel Group since 2008, the luxury hotel has been renamed Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort.
Surrounded by 100 acres of rainforest, Sugar Beach offers 78 luxury units, including villas and bungalows.
Additional features incorporated into the transformation include Rainforest Spa, of more than 9,000 sq. ft., featuring locally-inspired signature treatments, new restaurants and bars, a swimming pool, plus a revamped PADI dive facility.
While there is no designated meeting space, a villa suite can host up to 20 people, and one of the on-site restaurants can accommodate groups of 120 for a banquet or awards ceremony.
The Viceroy Hotels and Resorts portfolio will soon be expanded to include properties in Istanbul and Bodrum, Turkey.
