The hotel’s revamp is part of Marriott Hotel’s current transformation of its brand, which is evolving everything from hotel design to associate training in response to consumer demand for personalized experiences and creativity.
“We want our guests to experience forward-thinking, aesthetically-pleasing spaces that help foster their inventive nature,” said Matthew Carroll, vice-president, Marriott Hotels. “Marriott Hotels has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation in travel to create experiences that inspire and push our guests’ creativity. Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre has accomplished this and more and we know their guests will be thrilled.”
At the Toronto Marriott, the reimagined concierge lounge features a spacious design and sleek decor, a look that carries over into the guestrooms.
Upgrades and changes to the property’s rooms and suites include:
new 49″ flat screen TVs in guestrooms and 55″ flat screen TVs in suites
large chaise lounges that double as a pullout bed
deluxe walk-in showers and spa-like lighting in bathrooms
on-trend, mid-century modern-inspired decor
In addition, every guest will get the MVP™ experience via the newly redesigned entertainment suite in each room. MVP (Managed Video Platform) is a digital platform that replicates the in-home entertainment experience, and provides access to Netflix, YouTube and more.
The hotel’s 24-hour fitness centre, located on the 18th floor, has also been revitalized with brand new equipment and an indoor pool.
In the coming months, the hotel will introduce Marriott’s innovative mobile keyless entry to guestrooms.
The Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre has 19,278 square feet of meeting space, which includes 12 flexible meeting rooms and a ballroom with a 850-person capacity.
