Boasting over 1,000 delegates from all parts of the globe, this break from the traditional conference model is off to a tremendous start.
With a strong emphasis on personal connection, MeetDifferent pushes attendees to get involved in interactive Ask an Expert Sessions, Tweets, and Ideas Exchanges.
Sunday’s opening keynote challenged the audience to embrace the current world crisis as an opportunity.
Jeremy Gutsche, innovation expert, author of the bestselling book Exploiting Chaos and founder of www.trendhunter.com, wowed the audience with his humour, realistic approach and down-to-earth take on the chaos we are living today.
Demonstrating how many of today’s most successful companies were born in times of economic trouble, Gutsche gave delegates practical tips to improve not only meetings, but the culture of the organizations we work for.
With bold statements like, “culture eats strategy for breakfast” and “relentlessly obsess about your story”, this Toronto native created an instant following.
So much so, that his follow-up Ask an Expert session was standing-room-only. Check out Gutsche’s wildly successful trend website www.trendhunter.com, to see what the hype is all about.
The 2010 Vancouver Olympics have attendees buzzing and MeetDifferent has set up the Olympic Viewing Lounge, sponsored by the Vancouver Convention Centre and Tourism Vancouver.
The lounge has multiple televisions that are broadcasting Olympic coverage from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (Cancun time).
Rendezvous 2010 (the equivalent of IncentiveWorks’ Canada Rocks party) took place at Coco Bongo and was an unforgettable, adrenaline-pumping Latin America scene.
With proceeds going to the MPI Foundation, Rendezvous was the place to be, networking and making those critical contacts.
