Penthouse suite, Las Alcobas hotel.
In January, Las Alcobas hotel, in Mexico City, will open a new, 70-seat restaurant.
To be operated under the direction of executive chef Justin Ermini, formerly with Relais & Chateaux in the U.S., the restaurant will be one of the first in Mexico City to adopt a field-to-table philosophy.
To that end, Ermini is working with local farms and sourcing local products but, he says, the menu will have an international feel.
Located on Avenida Presidente Masaryk, known as the Rodeo Drive of Mexico City, the upscale Las Alcobas, designed by Yabu Pushelberg, houses 35 guestrooms and suites, two small meeting rooms and a penthouse venue for up to 30 people.
There’s also a small spa and an 80-seat restaurant.
Along with complimentary continental breakfast and minibar snacks and beverages, Las Alcobas offers a unique menu allowing guests to choose from a selection of hand-made soaps.
