The MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, has revealed designs for the $160-million renovation of guestrooms and suites.

Now underway, the extensive remodel includes all 3,570 guestrooms and 642 suites in the main tower.

The new room and suite designs feature warm designs and color palettes with contemporary furnishings.

In addition, a number of one- and two-bedroom suites will be redesigned, several of which feature outdoor terraces with sweeping views of the Las Vegas Strip.

Newly remodelled rooms and suites incorporate eco-friendly elements, including LED lighting; improved thermostats and solar shades; upgraded faucets and showers; and 100-per-cent biodegradable bath amenities.

The initial set of redesigned rooms will be complete by the end of November, with the complete renovation expected to conclude by September, 2012.
