What does this mean to you? Corporate and government/association/not-for-profit meeting planners who live in western Canada earn more than any other region. This isn’t a surprise, what with the west’s well-documented labour shortages. The average remuneration in eastern Canada is however alarmingly lower than the rest of Canada. Salaries for third-party and independent meeting planners in Quebec and western Canada are about on par, but Ontario out-earns the rest of the country by a whopping 64 per cent.
