Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has finalized two new partnerships in the Asia Pacific region.

Beijing Tourism Administration (BTA) is MPI’s newest strategic partner, with whom it will work to develop the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) market in Beijing.

In addition, Meetings and Exhibitions Hong Kong (MEHK), under the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), is the first Asian supporter of MPI’s global partner programme.

Through membership recruitment, chapter establishment and a training centre, BTA and MPI will work together to develop the MICE market in Beijing.

MEHK will develop synergies with MPI that leverages its brand, geographical presence and expertise as a top Asia-Pacific meeting place.

In other news, MPI Foundation celebrates 25 years, and will focus on aligning with corporate leaders to adjust to the shifting economy, while positioning the advancement of meeting-planning professionals within the industry.
