Peter Gregus has been named director of the new Calgary Destination sales and marketing department. A tourism veteran, Gregus has over 20 years of destination sales and marketing experience.
Also joining the marketing team are Marc-André Varin and Michelle Malby.
Varin will assist in the development of a broad-based strategic plan and a detailed sales and marketing programme. Malby joins the team as convention services manager.
Branded as “Yes, it’s Calgary!”, the new business unit aims to promote the city and area as a prime business travel destination.
This will be realized through marketing and sales initiatives specifically targeted at the meetings, conventions and incentive travel markets.
