Renovation of the 32nd floor of the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego into four new event spaces is expected to be completed this month.
Located in the hotel’s Seaport Tower, each of the new venues will echo the contemporary design aesthetic that has been introduced throughout the hotel in the first and second phases of the property’s complete transformation, which saw the redesign of all 1,628 guest rooms and suites, Grand Club, fitness centre and four expansive ballrooms.
“This has been one of the most anticipated phases of the renovation since this area has never been open to the public,” said area vice-president and general manager of Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, John Schafer. “The updated design and impressive, elevated views will provide a wonderful backdrop for meetings and celebrations of all occasions.”
The 32nd floor’s largest and most unique event space, Bayview, features an expansive balcony with panoramic view of the San Diego Bay, Coronado Island, Point Loma and the city skyline. Once complete, the 2,700-square-foot space will be California’s highest waterfront venue. Bayview will be able to accommodate groups of up to 150 for a reception and 90 for dinner.
The development of the 32nd floor into event and meeting spaces also gives groups the opportunity to hold their functions on their own private floor.
