Holiday season is just around the corner, and a number of new Toronto venues – bars, restaurants and other event-worthy spaces – are coming onstream, offering a wealth of new options for meeting and event planners for corporate festive celebrations.

Set for a December launch is Malaparte, a private event space on the sixth floor of TIFF Bell Lightbox. Seating 150 and holding 250 for receptions, Malaparte features a 16-ft. ceiling and offers direct access to a rooftop terrace accommodating 200.

The 167-room Hotel Le Germain Maple Leaf Square offers 4,600 sq. ft. of event space. Function rooms with names like the Neutral Zone and the Penalty Box – a nod to the adjacent Air Canada Centre, home to the Toronto Maple Leafs – accommodate 15 to 125.

The hotel began accepting reservations on November 5.
