The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has announced that its fourth property in North Africa will be The Ritz-Carlton Marrakech.
The fortress-style resort, with 60 hotel suites and 20 hotel villas of two, three and five bedrooms, plus bars, restaurants and a luxury spa will open in the third quarter of 2016. Meeting space is also being incorporated into the design.
Being developed in an upscale community 20 kilometres from the city centre of Marrakech, the resort will also be within easy access of a lake and nature reserve.
Ritz-Carlton properties currently under construction in North Africa are the 120-room Ritz-Carlton, Rabat situated within the prestigious Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, and the 129-suite Ritz-Carlton, Tunis, situated close to the world heritage site of Carthage and Tamouda Bay. Additionally, the Morocco a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Tamuda Bay, an upscale resort on the shores of the Mediterranean 60 kilometers east of the city of Tangiers, will feature 98-luxury rooms, 35 pool villa suites, a beach club and an 18-hole Nicklaus design golf course.
