Robert Scott has joined the team of sales professionals at the Scotiabank Convention Centre, in Niagara Falls (SCCN). Scott will serve as the Toronto-based sales manager focused on the corporate industry.
“Robert comes to us with an extensive background in the meetings and conventions industry,” says Jeremy Tyrrell, the centre’s director of sales. “He is well regarded and highly respected by his peers in the industry. We are excited that he is joining our ranks, representing the convention centre from his Toronto-based office.”
With over 20 years experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, Robert brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to his new role at the SCCN. Before coming to Niagara, he spent the past nine years in Toronto working as a sales manager at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and most recently at the OMNI King Edward Hotel, where he found success creating positive client experiences while building brand loyalty and long-term partnerships with internal/external clients and stakeholders. Scott is a strong believer in education and community,and devotes time and energy by being a member of PCMA, where he served on the board of directors as Communications Director from 2005 to 2010. He is currently a member of CSAE Trillium Chapter.
