New guestroom at the Affinia.
Affinia Manhattan has unveiled a $25-million redesign undertaken with the Rockwell Group and inspired by art studios.
All 616 guestrooms now feature a white and gray palette. Emphasizing the studio-like feel are in-room details such as a flower motif on the walls (a nod to the hotel’s proximity to the Flower District), an architect’s light on the headboard and a custom glass artist’s table.
Guestrooms are outfitted with custom-designed Affinia bed linens, philosophy bath amenities, flat-screen televisions, iPod docking stations and wireless Internet.
On the meetings side, the hotel features more than 9,000 sq. ft., including the Grand Ballroom and eight meeting rooms. Also offered are in-room spa treatments.
Niles restaurant, under the direction of chef Dale Spinks, serves contemporary cuisine.
