Shterenberg brings an extensive resume to the position. He began his Starwood career as an apprentice at The Westin Prince Hotel and after a brief departure to Europe, where he received culinary training in Switzerland and Russia, he returned to Starwood at The Westin Harbour Castle, in Toronto. While there, he held several positions, including commis, chef de partie and senior sous chef.
Most recently, he held the position of executive sous chef at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre Hotel.
