Delta Hotels and Resorts is building a new property in Waterloo, Ont., scheduled to open next summer, that will become the city’s first four-star upscale, full-service hotel.
To cost $36-million, the nine-storey Delta Waterloo Hotel will offer 195 technologically advanced ModeRoom guestrooms. Throughout the property, the design incorporates walnut, stainless steel and other modern finishes.
Other amenities will include a full-service restaurant and lounge, a fitness facility with a retreat-style pool, a business centre and approximately 8,000 sq. ft. of meeting and conference space, including a 3,000-sq.-ft. ballroom.
The property will be part of a 14-acre development that will include a 200,000-sq.-ft. office complex, luxury residential buildings, condominium towers, assisted living residences and townhomes.
Effective March 31, 2013, Delta’s current property in Kitchener will no longer be operated under the company’s brand.
