Frederic Hoffmann has been appointed executive chef of the Westin Calgary.
He will oversee the culinary team for the hotel’s banquets, as well as Essence restaurant and Liquid Lounge.
Hoffmann brings more than 15 years experience with him.
During his career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Hoffmann has worked in top hotels in Edmonton, San Francisco, Denver, Aspen, Colo., and Austin, Texas.
In 1994, he joined chef Albert Schnell, at the Hilton Toronto. While in Toronto, he worked at some of the city’s finest restaurants, including Rosewater Supper Club, Auberge du Pommier and the Fifth.
Since 2005, he has been executive sous-chef at The King Edward Hotel, in Toronto.
