Food trucks are available for groups.

The newest dining option at the 878-room JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE, in the city’s downtown, allows conference delegates to enjoy an authentically local culinary experience via food trucks.

The LA Gourmet Food Truck is a fresh alternative to the traditional convention luncheon. The hotel’s event team works with meeting and event planners to invite the city’s popular food trucks to gather onsite for an outdoor, picnic-style meal break. Culinary options and the number of trucks depend on group size and preferences.

Between conference sessions, the outdoor “Angeleno” food experience offers an opportunity for “interaction and engagement for groups,” says Amy Campbell, the hotel’s director of public relations.

Bill Buckley, the hotel’s director of sales and marketing, adds that “the cost to host a truck lunch is roughly the same per-person as serving a buffet-style meal in one of our meeting rooms, so it’s a viable option for most planners.”
