Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2013, Magic Castle, the private club of The Academy of Magical Arts, offers an enchanting venue in the heart of Hollywood.
A former private home dating back to 1908, the sprawling Victorian-style mansion houses a collection of public spaces, including a dining room, five showrooms and a piano lounge with an invisible piano player who takes requests.
The club can handle groups of up to 125 people for a private cocktail reception and up to 145 people for the fixed-price, three- to four-course meal. Customized menus are also possible. A group booking allows full access to the club, including entry to three top-drawer, 25- to 45-minute magic shows.
A full buyout of the mansion can be arranged for a minimum of 250 people, to a maximum of 500. Some restrictions apply and special concessions are made to guests of the 43-room Magic Castle Hotel.
The Magic Castle is open seven nights a week, plus weekends for brunch. A dress code is in effect.
