Nicola Kastner, CMP, CMM, has left Pareto to launch an event-marketing consulting business.
Her company, Convergence Event Marketing, will “help clients align their event and incentive portfolios to larger business objectives in measurable and meaningful ways,” she notes.
She expects to launch the company – to be based in her Toronto home – by the end of October. She’s already landed her first client.
“I am going to consult on the strategy surrounding two extremely large events in Latin America this spring, for the market leader in the business application software business,” she says.
Last November, Kastner joined Pareto as director, incentive services.
Prior to that, she spent two years as the North American director of meetings and events for Carlson Wagonlit Travel, preceded by 12 years with Maritz Canada, in various leadership roles within the meetings and events team.
Her Pareto colleague, Lisa Werner, is taking over her role at that company.
