Veteran hotelier Christophe Le Chatton has been appointed general manager of the Omni King Edward Hotel. His duties will include overseeing a multi-million renovation at the storied Toronto property.
Le Chatton joins Omni from Relais & Chateaux: Langdon Hall Country House and Spa where he served as general manager. Langdon Hall was rated the No. 1 hotel in Canada and No. 63 in the world by Condé Nast Traveler’s Reader’s Choice Awards 2013 under his leadership.
Prior to Relais & Chateaux, Christophe worked for Fairmont Hotels and Resorts where he held various positions over 10 years for properties in the U.S., Canada and China. Most recently, he served as hotel manager at the 1929 landmark Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai. He came to the Shanghai property from Fairmont Scottsdale Princess where he also served as hotel manager, responsible for all operational aspects of the AAA Five Diamond property. Le Chatton also served as director of operations at Fairmont Le Château Frontenac in Québec City and executive assistant manager and the director of food and beverage operations at Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.
Prior to his time with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, he served as the director of food and beverage operations and NYC cluster leader at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel New York responsible for all aspects of food and beverage, overseeing 850 employees, 55 directors and managers and generating over $80 million in food and beverage revenue annually. Before joining Waldorf, he held the position of director of food and beverage at Four Seasons Palm Beach and Windsor Arms Hotel.
