The Broadmoor, a Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond resort in Colorado Springs, is opening its first on-property fishing school for this summer. It will be available for instruction and private functions year-round.
The school is housed in an Adirondack-style lodge built on the property’s east golf course. The lodge features a dining table for 20, a large stone fireplace and large covered decks. Interior design elements include signature Adirondack elements including custom-painted ceiling murals showcasing artwork of the nine Native American tribes indigenous to Colorado; historic artifacts from the resort’s archives; and authentic Broadmoor fly fishing and skating memorabilia.
The school will offer catch and release classes each day, with professional guides instructing students on the art of fly-tying, casting and more.
