Ottawa Convention Centre will feature the latest technology.
June 22, 2010
The Ottawa Convention Centre (OCC) will have the most sophisticated information communication technology of any conference facility in Canada when it opens next April.
Via the Internet, the entire OCC will be run by a data centre servicing all media types (voice, audiovisual, data and other multimedia services) and integrating controls for lighting, security and heating and cooling.
In addition, the OCC has entered into a partnership with AVW-TELAV, whose on-site team will service the OCC’s system 24 hours a day.
This arrangement will allow OCC clients immediate access to audiovisual equipment and expertise at any time, and will augment client capability in terms of marketing communications while onsite.
The OCC’s network was designed to support “next generation” technologies such as digital signage throughout the building, which is sure to become a go-to venue for meeting and event planners.
