Porter is adding a third daily flight to Sudbury.

Porter Airlines is adding a third daily roundtrip flight between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Sudbury, Ont., beginning Sept. 6.

“Sudbury is a destination that we’ve invested in and has grown along with Porter,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines.

After introducing Sudbury service in March, 2010, with one daily flight, Porter, in April of this year, increased the schedule to two flights.

The new flight departs Sudbury at 6:05 a.m. and leaves Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport at 9:00 p.m.

“With the implementation of Porter’s newest flight, it is now possible to travel to Toronto from Sudbury early in the morning and arrive back home in the evening on the same day,” said Bob Johnson, CEO of Greater Sudbury Airport.
