Porter Airlines has been awarded 16 additional slots at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
A slot is defined as a single take-off or landing and the additional 16 slots give Porter a total of 172 at Toronto City Airport.
“We look forward to providing service to new destinations for our passengers,” said Robert Deluce, Porter’s president and CEO.. “We will make specific route announcements as plans are finalized for 2012.”
The slot allocation process is based on defined criteria set out by the Toronto Port Authority’s independent slot coordinator.
Porter offers flights to Toronto, Ottawa, Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury and Windsor, Ont.; Montreal, Quebec City, Moncton, Halifax, St. John’s, New York (Newark), Chicago (Midway) and Boston (Logan),.
The airline operates seasonal flights to Mt. Tremblant, Que., and Myrtle Beach, S.C.
