Business workstations in Porter's new lounge.
Porter Airlines has opened its second passenger lounge at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport as part of a 150,000-sq.-ft., $49-million terminal development project.
In the new lounge, Porter passengers have access to complimentary wireless Internet and business workstations equipped with iMac computers.
Refreshments include a selection of coffee and tea, soft drinks and snacks from the self-serve cafe.
The new lounge accommodates passengers flying within Canada, while the original lounge is now exclusive to those travelling to the U.S., useful for incentive groups organized by meeting and event planners.
“Porter’s investment in the new terminal will support approximately 1.4-million passengers in 2010,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines.
Remaining elements of the development include the installation of three permanent aircraft gates and the provision of foodservice and retail space.
