Recently, Red Scarf attended the International Gift Fair, in New York City, and returned with interesting, inspiring and unique gift ideas at all price levels. It was truly an amazing show.
This blog post gives you highlights from the show as to current trends that can be incorporated in your fall promotional purchases. Stay tuned for weekly posts for products in various categories and price points. As you read the upcoming posts, you’ll see that there is no reason not to stand out amongst the competition. There are too many fantastic products available that will turn heads!
Packaging: Imagine small fisherman’s netting bags, little fringed western suede drawstring bags, checkered ribbon, antique paper cones, netted pouches, metallic lame wine bags, Chinese takeout boxes, jute bags of all kinds and for women’s only promotional giveaways, little corset-shaped bags. There is no shortage of colour or packaging ideas.
Retro Candy: Smile when you think about that brown paper bag of candy you used to take to school. Candy suppliers are offering retro candy cases and bags filled with candy from various years. Select a year and look inside to see what candy was popular then. Marvel Comics offers a small and interesting collection of bags and umbrellas. What a great prize for a contest!
Executive Gifts: An outstanding category. European suppliers exhibited with their U.S. distributors. The best part? Pricing in U.S. dollars and not having to go through the hassle of ordering from Europe. Think about a one-ounce, teeny stainless-steel flask tucked into a men’s toiletry bag or golf bag; elegant wine accessories; a stunning, stainless steel/black mobile device holder; luxurious shaving accessories for the CEO who has everything; wooden watches and Davek brand umbrellas were gorgeous. Perfect gifts for the hard-to-please executive.
