IncentiveWorks Post Report
Our August IncentiveWorks show was a great success. We’d like to thank all the planners and suppliers who supported us to make this happen. Here are a few highlights from our post-show surveys.

We had over 3,000 meeting planners attend over the two days; 2,175 unique planners attended (hundreds attend both days). This traffic is on par with last year. Our total number of exhibit booths was down about 10% over last year, but we had almost the same number of companies exhibiting. Some downsized and most shared more this year, for obvious financial savings. Given how much the global economy has shrunk in the past 12 months, I am personally thrilled with these stats and results.

The biggest buzz on the show floor was a general optimism about 2010. While there were still contracts being signed for 2009, most of the conversations were around planning meetings/events for 2010. The exhibitors we spoke with during and after the show have all said that they are working on RFPs for 2010, from the show.

Post-Show Highlights

Exhibitors told us:
• 81% will write business as a result of exhibiting
• 96% made new contacts
• 91% re-affirmed current contacts
• 91% like the show hours and 78% like the two-day format

Planners told us:
• 87% are likely to book business with any of our exhibitors, as a result of attending the trade show, in the next 12 months.
• 86% like the two-day format and 97% would like the show hours to be the same or longer.
• 94% are already planning to attend next year’s show.

Conference/Education attendees told us:
• Overall, the quality of our education sessions was excellent. Our keynote speakers received the highest reviews: 94% rated General Rick Hillier’s session excellent, and 93% rated Mitch Joel’s session excellent.
