Québec City Launches New Business Tourism Initiative

Québec City has introduced a new business tourism initiative called YQB – Your Québec City Business Destination.

The YQB team is comprised of business tourism specialists from Québec City Tourism, the Québec City Convention Centre, and ExpoCité’s Centre de foires. Created to unify the business travel, meeting and event offering in the Québec City area, its mandate is to promote business tourism at events outside the province and to help meeting planners find their perfect venue in the Québec City area.

“The synergy between the various stakeholders in the region of Québec has always been fruitful but we believe the new YQB will better serve meting planners,” said André Roy, director of Québec City Tourism.

“Québec City’s national and international efforts will now be a coordinated effort between hotels, venues and the various business tourism partners. The benefits are huge for meeting planners and business tourism in general. When discussing meeting in Québec City, the meeting planner will be sure the YQB representative will find the perfect option for his or her meeting or event,” said P.-Michel Bouchard, CEO of the Québec City Convention Centre.

The program was launched in early January and exhibited for the first time at PCMA’s Convening Leaders Conference in Boston.
