The hotel's High End event facility.
The Radisson Blu Hamburg has reopened following a substantial overhaul valued at about CDN $95-million.
Renovations to the 556-room property include a new 23,000-sq.-ft. business meeting area, featuring 12 function rooms, and 5,700-sq.-ft. ballroom; a new lobby with two lounges and designer modern furnishings; two new event venue locations; individually designed guestroom themes; two restaurants and bars; and state-of-the-art fitness centre.
The hotel offers the highest event facility in Hamburg in “High End,” a 1,300-sq.-ft. space located 350 ft. in the air and featuring panoramic city views.
Swedish architect Christian Lundwall redesigned the hotel’s 556 guestrooms (which average about 325 sq. ft.) and suites (which range from 340 sq. ft. to 1,200 sq. ft.) in three individual room styles: a light colour palette with beechwood furniture; oak furniture with Amtico flooring; and Turkish rugs with rosewood furniture.
