MGM Resorts International’s Recipe Showdown is back for a second year of MasterChef-style cook-offs and culinary excitement.
The second edition of the competition features more cities to compete in and an expanded playing field. This year meeting planners will not only go toe-to-toe over hot stoves with other event pros but also with travel professionals and leisure partners, all in an effort to win a coveted spot in the ultimate cook-off in Las Vegas.
MGM has added four cities bringing the competition’s roster up to 16. Over the course of the next three months, Recipe Showdowns will be held in Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Denver, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, San Francisco and Chicago as well as Vancouver, B.C. and Toronto.
Vancouver planners and travel pros should have already submitted recipes to be considered for the city’s showdown, being held Tuesday, June 9th at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. Toronto planners still have time to send in their favourite recipe — organizers are asking to have recipes submitted two weeks prior to city cook-off date — to be considered for a spot in the cook-off scheduled for Tuesday, June 23rd at Cirillo’s Culinary Academy.
