TORONTO — Research Innovation Commercialization Centre (RIC) has partnered with Freeman Audio Visual Canada, it was announced in early July.

The partnership between Mississauga, Ont.-based RIC Centre and Freeman will strengthen relationships between startups and other business enterprise members in the community.

Partnering with the RIC Centre allows Freeman to deliver an enhanced experience that helps audiences engage with content.

“Our specialty lies in brand experience. Our goal is to bring technology and creative expertise to help our customers with their brand experience. The RIC Centre and its terrific staff are an excellent platform to facilitate our brand experience approach, while together we create jobs to drive the local economy. It’s a terrific win/win for all stakeholders,” said David Campbell, executive vice-president and chief operating officer of Freeman.

The RIC Centre will work with Freeman to facilitate a culture of entrepreneurialism. The partnership will also reinforce the Centre’s model of early-stage companies working with various established businesses to develop long-term and mutually beneficial relationships.

“The partnership recognizes our mutual interests in the fields of emerging technology, entrepreneurship and innovation adoption and the importance of collaboration,” said Paul Bertin, chair of RIC Centre.

Freeman Audio Visual produces meetings, conventions, special events and trade shows, and is focused on maintaining and growing its stable of technology around the world.
