Poolside at Dorado Beach Ritz-Carlton.
When the Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, opens in Puerto Rico in early December, it will be the first property in the Americas to fly the flag of the new Ritz-Carlton luxury brand, The Ritz-Carlton Reserve.
Located 15 miles west of San Juan, the Dorado Beach property will offer a secluded beachfront location, 115 guestrooms and suites and highly personalized guest service.
The average staff-to-guest ratio will be 2:1 and higher. For VIPs, the original plantation hacienda, restored to its 1920s grandeur, will serve as a four-bedroom beachfront villa.
Moreover, the property will include the first restaurant outside the U.S. for acclaimed chef Jose Andres; the five-acre Spa Botanico, with 12 spa treatment pavilions and Treehouse treatment platforms; and lush private gardens.
The first hotel in the new top-tier portfolio opened in Phalay, Thailand, in 2010.
Additional locations are slated for Similan Beach, Thailand; San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico; Tamuda Bay, Morocco and Muscat, Oman.
