Ritz Kuala Lumpur Unveils Renovation


KUALA LUMPUR — The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur has unveiled a renovation that has brought a contemporary design to its guestrooms, restaurants and public spaces, it was announced June 16.

The-Ritz-Carlton-Kuwala-LumpurWEBLed by New York-based design studio Alexandra Champalimaud, the renovation has added a palette of neutral shades, contemporary details and upscale furnishings throughout the 364 guestrooms and suites, restaurants and public spaces.

The hotel’s Spa Village team developed a new treatment based around the experience of Asia’s first Sensory Sound Bath Room, and the culinary team has introduced a chef-on-call to create personalized menus for corporte and private events.The Ritz Kuala Lumpur was the first hotel in Malaysia to offer round-the-clock butler service. That amenity remains intact, with each guest assigned their own personal butler on-call 24 hours a day throughout their stay.

Other experiences have been refreshed, from the afternoon tea in the lobby lounge, with its extensive tea selection and new menu choices, to the new library space with its vintage cognac and whiskey collection.

Opened 18 years ago, in Kuala Lumpur’s luxury shopping, commercial and nightlife downtown district known as the Golden Triangle, the hotel has won many accolades and is recognized as one of the top five butler hotels in the world by The Independent.
