Twelve days after suicide bombers killed more than a half-dozen people and themselves at the neighbouring Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott hotels in Jakarta, the two hotels have reopened, good news for meeting and incentive travel groups planning trips to Indonesia.
“Occupancy has been encouraging and we are heartened by the support of our customers,” Els Ramadhinta, a spokeswoman at the Ritz told Bloomberg News.
News reports said visitors and cars entering hotel areas were being checked by a team of security and dogs.
