San Francisco Ritz-Carlton Renovating Meeting and Event Space


Hospitality design consultants Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) have been hired to completely renovate the grand ballroom, conference rooms and boardrooms at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco. The re-imagined spaces will be unveiled in September 2014.

The hotel’s 23,000-sq.-ft. of event and meeting space includes a 9,500-sq.-ft. ballroom with pre- or post-function galleries; two levels of conference and boardroom spaces ranging from 300 to 1,900 square feet; the unique Terrace Room; and the outdoor Terrace courtyard.

HBA's re-imagining of Grand Ballroom, The Ritz-Carlton, San FranciscoHBA plans to carry the traditional design of the neo-classical building and the hotel’s renowned attention to detail throughout the renovation. The Ballroom, Terrace Room, conference and boardrooms will be decorated in shades of silver, grey, black and white. The Ballroom will feature dramatic black and white carpeting, mirrored walls with geometric patterns, and Bavarian crystal chandeliers with circular shades. Pre-function spaces will have a clean, elegant design in steely blues inspired by San Francisco’s Bay.

HBA's Re-imagining of meeting room at The Ritz-Carlton, San FranciscoArt Deco design elements–bold colours, geometric designs, the use of glass–will be used in the hotel’s 10 conference and boardrooms. The meeting spaces will feature silver wall coverings framed with mirror tile detailing, metal chain overhead light shades in layered, rectangular shapes, carpeting in grey herringbone and minimalist leather swivel chairs. The spaces will be accessorized with one-of-a-kind photos and unique artifacts.
